This page explains how users can request the deletion of their account / data and what happens to their data after such a request, in compliance with our privacy and data-retention policies.
To request the deletion of your account or specific data we hold about you, please:
- Send an email to nick@medentum.com
- Include the following information in your email:
a. The phone number associated with your account.
b. Whether you would like to have your entire account deleted or only specific data types deleted (please specify).
- We will process your request within 14 business days of receiving it and will confirm completion by email.
When you request deletion of your account or specific data, we permanently remove the following from our active systems (unless retention is required by law or for security):
- Profile data, such as your name or phone number.
- Account content you provided in the app, such as photos, audio recordings, and any session data.
If you request deletion of only certain data types, we will remove just those items and keep your account active.
We may retain limited information for the purposes listed below. This data is stored securely and is removed or anonymized after the retention period ends.
- Security, abuse-prevention, and audit logs (such as server and access logs): Retained for up to 90 days.
- Backups: encrypted system backups may include your data until they naturally cycle out; typical backup retention is 30 days. Backups are not used for active processing.
- We begin processing your request within 14 business days of receiving it (see section 2).
- Once processing begins, personal data is deleted from active systems within 30 days, except for the specific data listed above that must be retained for legal, security, or operational reasons.
- After retention periods described above expire, the remaining data is permanently deleted or fully anonymized.
